Posted - November 02 2009 : 23:29:37 Long story about how I got to this website but my name is Cindi (Lukos) Steiner and I arrange dinners at Home Town Buffet in Sacramento (approx every 2 months) for 1833/1849/938th folks out of McClellan. Our group includes military and civilian alike. We normally have anywhere from 25-45 in attendance. I worked in the Orderly from 1976-1981 (both 1833 & 1849th) under Maj Majokowski and then Col Parker (dec'd). My husband John retired as CMS in 1991 from 938th. He worked Inside Plant, SIPT, QA. We have people travel from Lodi and Santa Rosa. Our biggest gathering was in Feb when Tom Hudson (Supply) was in town on his way to Hawaii for vacation. If you are interested in attending one of dinners please contact me at cindi_steiner@pacbell.net. |

Posted - March 10 2009 : 15:22:53 Hi everyone! I haven't heard of any reunions in the area, but I was contacted last month about the "monthly dinners". I heard from a Cindi (Lukos) Steiner who is the one arranging the dinners. She and her husband were stationed at the 1833rd/1849th during 1976-1981. Her husband John was in the 1849th/9398th, Inside Plant, in 1991. I haven't met either one, since I could not make the dinner last month, but plan to go the next one if available. Supposedly, there were around 25+ attendees last month. Cindi normally sends out an email to announce the dinner, so if you want to be notified, send me your email, and I will send it to her. Hope to see many of you in the future! |

Posted - March 09 2009 : 08:48:47 I was E&I at the 1849th from 1992 to 1994. I loved Sac... It was a great place. If there ever is a reunion, I would love to know about it! I was also E&I at the 1827th from 1994 through 1997, which changed to the 838th when I was there. |

Posted - February 25 2009 : 00:11:32 I was there 94 to 96. Sac-town was awesome. I remember doing roll-call in the a.m. and then heading up to Donner for a day of snowboarding for $20! It was good to be E&I. |
