Posted - March 13 2010 : 05:32:48 I'm looking for information about call tracing. More to the point, who I can give the information to. I've seen it in writing, but I can't remember where and I can't find a copy of the reg stating such. Anyone know where I can find this information? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. |

AFI 33-111 pp 44.3. Use pen registers, or similar equipment, for law enforcement purposes in accordance with AFI 71-101, Volume 1, and DODD 5505.9. |

Posted - March 15 2010 : 07:46:30 33-111 has information about MCH and customer originated call tracing, but it's very vague. There was a reg that said we were only allowed to give the information to SFS, OSI, and (I think), the installation commander. Might not have been specifically a telephone only reg. |

Posted - March 13 2010 : 21:43:14 Ya you need a memorandum signed by osi stating why they need a call trace. They are also the only people you can give the information too. |

Posted - March 13 2010 : 10:56:09 did you look in AFI 33-111 i do believe it is in there. I think the only people you can give the info to is the security forces and OSI but you need a memorandum stating who they are and needs signed. Not for sure if your base has a sup to the afi or not. Hope this points you in the right direction. |
