Cable Installers & Splicer Position in Orlando

Custom Cable Industries is looking for Structured Cabling Installers and an OSP Cable Installer/Splicer for the Orlando, Florida office.

Wiring tech's must be proficient with installion & termination of Category 5e/6 cabling, as well as fiber cabling & termination.

Cable splicer must be proficient in cable installation, splicing, termination, testing, & troubleshooting of OSP copper and fiber cable. Must be able to lead and manage installation projects.

During my career within the Air Force (1976 – 96), I was assigned to three separate E&I (Electronics & Installation) units as a cable splicing technician, as well as, both assistant and a Team Chief. I have extensive installation experience in both the European and Far East theatres as well as several state side units. I have installed, spliced, terminated and tested aerial, buried, and underground copper core and fiber-optic communications cables.
I have also trained numerous civilian technicians in the application of premise wire installation which included the extension of POTS lines and Circuit extensions for 56k as well as fractional and full T1s utilizing existing house pair as well as Cat5 cables, this also involved testing and troubleshooting of such.
Additionally, I have significant experience in military and civilian personnel supervision while interacting with numerous professional contracting firms, the general public, as well as various governmental agencies. Some of my personal attributes are the ability to perform effectively in high-pressure situations, work as an integral part of a team. I adapt to new situations and highly-refined leadership, team building, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. I would bring the same high level of commitment to your organization that I have demonstrated in my previous endeavors.
I hold an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree, with a major in Business Administration with Honors. I have just graduated from Governors State University and received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Degree through the Board of Governors program with a GPA of 3.62.
