SSgt Bill Yates

Bill Yates passed on recently. For all of you who knew him, rest assured he led a happy and productive life. It was very hard for all of us here in Utah but we are grateful that we got to spend the amount of time we did with him. We'll mis you Bill. For those of you who considered him your friend, feel free to contact me to shoot the breeze and remember Bill. God Bless our Troops.

Bill was a great friend of mine. I got to know him while we were stationed at Kelly AFB in E&I. We stayed in contact through the years but several years after retirement we lost touch. I would like to know how Betty, Corey, and Chris are doing. Also, I would like to know what happened to Bill and if there is anyway to contact his family.

Thanks in advance,
Steve Wiesehan

Gordon,
My name is Tom Hoselton, t.hoselton@yahoo.com
I was also stationed w/ Billy Yates at Kelly AFB. If you would please contact me at above e-mail address to discuss the cause of Billy's unfortunate, unbelievable passing.
Wiesehan & I have both tried to locate info related to your posting on Bill Yates and have come up dry.
You would be doing a great service for a couple of good friends of Bill's by contacting one or the other of us with details of his untimely demise.
As Wiesehan mentioned in his note, we would like to contact Betty &/or Bill's children Cory & Chris to afford our condolences.
If you please, pass on my e-mail address if you haven't time to respond.
So two of Billy's friends can attempt closure to a great chapter in life that included a great man and wonderful friend we found in the company of Bill Yates our fallen, never forgotten brother in arms.

Is this the same Bill Yates who was stationed @ Hill AFB UT as a Cable DAWG in the early 90's? If so I would love to find out more details and send my belated condolences to his family. As a young Airman new to the Air Force he was a great mentor and an even better friend to me as I'm sure he was to many others.
