Harnesses for Climbing & Fall Restraint

Hey everybody.
We are looking at getting new harnesses for our shop. I am curious to what every one would recommend.
We climbed mostly stepped poles with antennas on them. We do have a couple of steel structures we climb as well.

Thanks for your help,

Mick

Mick,
I use the Elk River "Eagle" full body harness. I like this one very much, It has nicely padded shoulder harness straps that will spread the load around your shoulder a little more. You'll notice the difference if your on a tower for long periods of time. For climbing poles I would recommend the pole strap lanyards, for steel go w/ rope or nylon strap lanyards.

DBI Sala has some good harnesses as well, it's just a matter of personel preference and comfortability to each individual.

I had an old Bashlin that I wore ever since I got out of the AF in '84. My wife made me buy the Elk River in 2002, I really miss that old Bashlin.

Here's a few links:

Mick,

Go to Safety Connections Web Site and check out the Miller Systems. Their lightweight, well made, inexpensive and the recommended best available from this old tower and pole DAWG/Anetenna CAT
