Dawg turned office clerk HELP HELP

I am a cable and antenna dawg, and after fighting for a humanitarian for 2 years I got my wish, but sadly my dad died before I even signed into the base. now I am here filling a 3a position trying not to staple my nuts to my chair. I need a way back intot he job. I was crosstrained unkowingly, because some Airman thought that was what needed to be done. I miss climbing and being with my people I am in a one man deep slot working with along side of contractors. If anyone knows the functional and can help a brother out, PLEASE DO.

Join the club! I came from Turkey last year to Kansas of all places and I have been told that unless I opt to go to Keesler, my chances of leaving are slim to none. I am the only cable dawg here with two wire dawgs and my job SUCKS! I cant deploy, I cant go TDY anywhere, and I dont do anything job related. We are a dying breed and the light at the end of the tunnel is growing dim.

[Keesler is a good assignement been there twice and made alot of cash and traveled the world just like it should be. Miss being on the road and making the money

Please let me know if you can find anything on returning to cable/antenna. I'm in the exact same boat. I had an assignment to Kunsan and had it cancelled due to humanatarian reasons. Then when my rip came down approving my humantarian I was told I was going to be a 3S0X1, Personnel. My losing MPF told me that as long as your gaining base had my AFSC they wouldn't retrain me. WRONG. I've been at Beale now for 1 1/2 and hatin it. The main reason I can't go back is the 3S functional won't let me out. I feel your pain.
