Great Job Opportunity in Barrow! COMBINATION TECHNICIAN POSITION. This is a challenging and demanding position, requiring a wide ranging of technical skills, including DMS-10 management and applications, T-1 and T-1 HDSL, KSU/PBX management installations and trouble shooting, familiar with DLC applications and deployment DACS management. Understanding of LAN/WAN deployment and general network applications a plus. During an average day this person must have the ability to make rational decisions in the interest of customer needs and company concerns. This person has to be a team oriented employee able to work harmoniously with other technicians and ASTAC's Service Representatives and Management. This individual needs to be physically fit and able to work in a challenging and rugged environment, be familiar with outside plant and Cable Plant trouble shooting and applications. Pole climbing will be required at times. Computer literacy is a must, understanding of AC/DC theory required. Need to be able to use CO and Plant testing equipment is essential, as these are part of the daily operations. Applicant must be able to balance a variety of tasks with frequently changing priorities while maintaining a consistently positive attitude.
