I was stationed there from 1994 - 2000. Saw the shop move from the South Side Post Office to E-Hoff! Remember those snowy days where poop Boy and Himes made some interesting snow sculptures on the 1st hole at the golf course! Also remember the Beer and Swank parties in the woods off the Golf Course. Also running the old cable route from Ramstein up through the woods to the Bahn B site. Thanks to Ricky Richardson that those rides!

Of yea, Gils Nickname had something to do with “Big Hands”!

Had some good beers and times there!

I was at Ramstein from 95 -98. Had some pretty good times there too. Mo, JP, Ricky, McChort, Himes, Hyman, Todd, Parmley, Budreau, AD, Krac, Boyd (and many more) kept that place very interesting!

Hey Gil, I think I even recall you going to Africa for a couple of weeks. Didn't you have to sell your shoes for food only to get robbed by monkeys?

Gil,
I seem to remember your favorite beverage of choice was something to do with Thornsbury (Rhino) on the carton? I also seem to remember a tale told to me of a swim in an Amsterdam canal? How are you? Seems the ole' gang gathers at the old Einsedlerhoff formerly (what the hell was the name of that Ramstein golf course) ((sorry a senior moment)), Ramstein Post Office. Gil, you always were a Good "Dawg"!

Moe and Freeman brought up so old friends memories, any one heard from JP Reed, Ricky Richardson, Kyle Starosciak, or Mike Yochum?

1998-2004

Ehof/Det 1

What's going on Gil? Haven't heard from you in a while. I didn't think you knew how to use a computer!

Spent some good years up there in Ehof. Met some really great people.

Was TDY to Ramstein in 73 from Sembach 2nd MOB and installed the phone system in the C5 pad/hanger. Also worked on the main control room phone system in the HQ building. Don't kinow if any of that is still standing as it has been a long time. If any one has some pictures of the C5 site I would like to see them.
Thanks

Chris, I have been out of the service since 76. Was stationed at Wiesbaden after moving from Sembach. Now live in Sparks, Nevada.
What part of Lindsey were you at, the flight line area or in Wiesbaden?

Yes I was there from 95-99, I was innside plant working under now retired CMSgt Sanders and along with Mike Witt and Brian Foyt. Then after outside plant moved to Ehoff I work with people like Daneen Bingham, Tony Collins, Chad Wright, David Highnote, Donald "Sweet Pants" Smith, Zimbalist "Dance Fever" Favors, and my man "Favor Job Bob" Flaugher. This guy could get anything, he is the one that scored the big screen in the day room and a couple other items that I know he didn't disclose. If you needed it he could get it though. As a matter o fact if anybody get a hold of him, tell him I need a hook up

Not much of what you guys remember is likely to still be here (Cable wise). The base has undergone projects to remove all the 1A2 Key systems and replace with either Norstar systems or go Single Line Concept. Alot of the actaul cables are being replaced as well. The backboards with signatures are still in most places if you have tagged them. IP is still on ramstein with OP and Cable still at Ehoff.
