CAT when we first reopened on Langerkopf GE

Ya'll and All O' Ya'll,

When we first re-opened the German CAT team in Germany / Central Europe we were awesome and we owned it. We were pushy, arogant, and selective (don't know how I got there). Damn we were awesome! We owned everything from Denmark and Belgium to the Zugspitz. Just ask some of us OLD CATS we'll tell you how BAD we were. Gus Brooks, The Griff Dog, Chuckie Danner, Tim Edwards, Freddie Adams, to throw a few names around, We were the proud, arogant ******s that owned Central Europe.

Hey Pete,

It's been a few thousand years. I can't believe that you can still read! Ha ha ha. He smacked that thing into the back end of a pick-up truck and then was PCSed into Lang after that he went to Alaska and back here to Security Hill and then left the area never to be heard from since. I think he retired and may have gotten back with his wife but no one will ever know as long as he doesn't share information with us!

Now Chuck I'm not so sure of! He left for a closure in California and I didn't hear from him after he left but it sure would be nice to have him drop a line in the middle of this conversation.

Hey, the team wasn't bad after moving to Kapaun either. You have to give credit to the legends of Kapaun:

Cook, Nickles, Gippe, Restow, Smith, Pirog, Taylor, Boozer, Gaskins, Leighton, Williams, Goble, Hanford, etc.

We went to all the places mentioned plus Istres, France (and almost New Years in Barcelona...if only), Turkey, Norway, and Spain a few times.

Trust me, Houtem and Le Chenoi will never be the same after us. :-) (Oh, not to mention that poor little Renault that we squashed in Belgium)

Bill Cook, Holy Sh-t! You were the funniest guy I'd ever met and I can still see you dragging a piece of metal (maybe a MH cover) in the back of the office on Kapaun, you're facial expression was hysterical and you said in a very calm voice "I believe my balls are current at my knee caps" I couldn't stop laughing. Remember when you thought you were having a boy showed pictures of the Ultra sound and 9 months later you realized it was the umbilical cord! LOL!!! Funny times! Germany was the best assignment I had especially coming from Griffiss and prior to that Korea!!

I know this is an old post; but how about adding the name CHANCE to your list of fearless comrades. :)
