A Dawg Passes On : Robert Frakes

A fellow Wire Dawg has passed away. His name is Robert Frakes. Please pray for his family. He was a great boss, mentor, but above all, a friend. He will be truly missed.

The tragic passing of Rob Frakes is a shock to all that know him. He was The MAN! Rob was a down to earth Cable Dawg that set the standard for the "Work Hard Play Hard" attitude. From his early Airman days at Edwards AFB to the Hard Core E&I years in Germany in the 80s, to his many years at Maxwell AFB and back to Germany again at Spangdahlem he earned the respect and adoration of all who worked with him. He knew how to have fun, but was a real pro at the job. He never did a job that he wasn't proud to sign his name to. Best Boss, best mentor and best friend a guy could have.

I'm just one of many who is blessed to call him my friend,
WEAV

To all of you who new Rob, he was a fine patriot and gentleman, and we have lost a great one. I worked with him in "Wire", played sports with him and was eventually his First Sgt. In all cases he was a true professional. God bless his family and loved ones. He will always be remembered in our thoughts and prayers. Jim Avera
