SL100 Tech's Needed in the Far East (FT Employee)
A friend of mine who is head of TAC (Technical Assitance Center) at BlackBox is looking to hire 2 or 3 SL100 tech's to do remote support for Korea and Japan and possible other locations. It would be home/office and do troubleshooting remotely. The positions would be located in the Far East. You could live in Korea, Japan or possibly another Far East countyr. They just want you to be in the same time zone as Korea and Japan. Blackbox won the Contract to do 2nd level support for the US Army. He also needs a manager over these guys and this position could be in the US. He is looking to hire by the end of June and will be coming to Japan and Korea to turn the customer sites and interview people. His contact info is:

SL-100 Technical Support Engineer
Organization: Service
FLSA Status: Exempt
Job Complexity
Works on extremely complex assignments where independent action and a high degree of initiative are required in resolving problems and developing recommendations.
Essential Functions
• Provide technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment.
• Serve as customer contact on technical and service related problems.
• Diagnoses hardware, software and systems failures using established NTP procedures.
• Determines most cost effective repair / resolution to minimize customer downtime.
• Working knowledge of Time Division Multiplex (TDM) and Internet Protocol (IP) Technologies.
• Prepare reports for analysis of product failure trends and service availability.
• Must have good Customer Service / Customer Facing Skills
Supervision
• Acts independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
• May supervise the activities of other nonexempt personnel.
Education and Experience
• High school diploma
• SL100 Maintenance training
• 2 to 4 years experience required
Physical Requirements
• Climb / descend ladders and stairs
• Potentially prolonged periods of driving/sitting
• Periods of overhead reaching and pulling
• Extensive bending, kneeling, squatting, crawling
• Must be able to lift / carry up to 50 pounds
