Barksdale AFB, LA Info

Hey Guys,
Does anyone know if Barksdale has a military cable shop? Civilian personnel office hasn't been very informative, and I would give my "right ovary" to get back into cable affairs/ splicing.
Any information would be helpful.

When I left the wire shop in 2003, they had a military cable shop. As far as I know from one of my troops who is there now, that is still the case.

There's still a military cable shop there. I left the phone shop in 2004....biggest mistake of my life!!

Yes, I am currently stationed in the Cable Shop here in Barksdale. I don't think you will have any luck getting a civilian slot here though.

You might consider the ANG E&I unit in New Orleans (214EIS).

We are always busy CONUS and nonCONUS.
