Peterson has a Red Switch that works on the DRSN. Other bases also have them, Schriever and Chyenne Mountian. Very much still alive in the colorado springs area and I worked there for about 4 months and got to see the DRSN maps. They are all over. Here they have contractors that keep the continuity when military rotates out. No one stays there very long ot be honest, maybe 2 years max then they change out.

The DRSN is very much alive and well, and still expanding. I'm currently the lead instructor at Fort Huachuca, AZ for the DRSN. The footprint isn't nearly as large as the DSN, but then again, not everyone needs a Red phone, either.
