I want to express my condolences to Carolyn, Cedric and Cynthia. Sgt "B" was one of the finest humans I have ever met and he will be miss greatly by all. While stationed at Kapuan AS Germany (1991-1998), Sgt Branson helped me on many occasions during a rough period in my life. He was the model supervisor, always leading by example. His motto "Life Is Good" will always be and inspiration to me.

Gina and I were very saddened to hear of the passing of SMSgt Branson (Sgt "B"). We really enjoyed getting to know him and Carolyn while stationed at Kapaun. He was a great mentor and friend. Always cool under fire and always there to help you when you needed it. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

My heart pours out to SMSgt Branson's family. Rufus was a great supervisor and leader during my time at Kapaun AS, GE. He was always caring and compassionate to everyone he encountered, a true role model for me as a young NCO. I don't know how much pain he was in here on earth, but I know he is with GOD now and at peace. He will definately be missed. My thoughts and prayers will be with the family throughout the year.

Blessings to you, Carolyn, and the entire Branson family.

My wife and I would like to extend our deepest condolences to Carolyn and all of the members of Sgt B's family. He was a truly extraordinary individual; very kind & thoughtful. My first week in housing while stationed at Kapaun AS in Germany, there was a knock at the door. When I answered it, there stood Sgt B. He told Irene and I to get a jacket and he took us on a tour of the local economy. We've never forgotten his gesture of kindness or the feeling of being welcomed into a new unit that he bestowed upon us. We were newly weds, first time on our own; out of the USA and I was only a SrA. SMSgt Branson made me aspire to become a senior NCO at an early point in my career. I, as well as all who new him were honored to do so, because he was truly blessed. We will miss you Sgt B.

Respectfully,

MSgt Arlan & Irene Gaskin
