We must have crossed paths. Back then I was a 361X1. School was at Shepard Texas. I flew into Mobile, from Shepard. Had to take a bus to Keesler; my introduction to Mississippi weather. I lived in Bldg. 4910, offices were at Maltby hall. Ring any bells?

That was/had to be Fred Lumbert, Civilian when I met him, retired USAF.

Wow, does the 1839th stilll exist? I mean with Katrina hitting the area, and of course the constant reorganizing.....I remember when I arrived, we were in the "Air Force Communications SERVICE", then it went to COMMAND.....Somewhere I thought I saw the E&I was absorbed into another Command?

Bob the wildman, I remember him drinking a bottle of Tabasco on a bet..... I saw Lineman in '82, '83. He was torn between taking an assignment in Mass. somewhere, and getting out altogether.

Hey Ron, I was at Keesler from 81-84, was on Andy Moore's team with John Campbell, Apadoca, Knowlton, Raphael, and a civilian whose name escapes me now(must be from all the lead work) but he smoked like a chimmney. I beleive we went on some of the same TDY's, Eglin, Patrick; good times always. I'm now at Edwards AFB Transmission Media, later

Yep, its still here. Got here in 91' as 1939th EIG, then to AFMC and 738th EIS dropping to a SQ and then on to the 85th EIS with ACC. Now just waiting for DOD to release AF CYBER and we are headed there. Fred retired in the local area and I still see him from time to time. Wasn't here during ya'lls era but we are still digging ditches.
