Optical Network Technician-Qwest-Spokane, WA

Qwest Communications is looking for a fiber network technician in Spokane, Washington. Some of the responsibilities would include fiber locating and protection, turn up, repair, maintenance of optical circuits and optical fiber cable plant. Support dark fiber customers, maintain DC back up power sources, etc. The position will be a Senior Operations Technician.

Job will be posted on Qwest's website in the very near future, within a week. This is a brand new opening, scheduled to be filled by June 30th. This is a non-union job. As soon as I see the job req I will post the link. If you have some of the skills they will generally train someone on the rest. Must be a self starter as you will be working alone and the boss is on the other side of the state.
