We are currently recruiting for the following position:

SERVICE INSTALL TECH 2

Location: Anniston, AL

Job Summary:
Responsible for the routing, mapping, testing, and turn up of data and voice
services. This will include, but not be limited to: DS0, DS1, DS3, Integrated,
and Point-to-Point, Frame Relay, ATM, IP/VPN Point-to-Point and
Point-to-Multipoint Data orders. Coordinates order activity with LECs, IXCs and
CLECs, DeltaCom technicians, sales personnel, and customers. Participates in OJT
and off site training program to enhance job skills. Provides status reports as
requested. Responsible for circuit testing using Hekimian React, Lucent CBX
500’s, Lucent BSTDX 9000’s, Adtran Dacs, Adtran Muxes, Nortel DMS 100, Nortel
DMS 250, Lucent 5E, and NEC phone systems. Responsibility includes the customer
experience from beginning to end of service installation, including effective
communication with customers throughout the process. Other duties and projects
as assigned by management. 7x24x365 availability.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED and an Associate degree in Electronics, Computer
Science or related field preferred. Minimum of two plus years related
experience. Experience with Lucent Frame/ATM networks, Cisco IP (CCNA
certification a plus), Nortel DMS network, Lucent 5E network, and NEC phone
systems (NEC certifications a plus). A good understanding of the following
areas: Frame Relay, ATM, Email, DNS, MPLS, MLPP, IP/VPN, Point-to-Point,
Point-to-Multipoint, local, long distance, toll free, and voicemail
applications. Knowledge of office automation software such as, MS Word, Lotus
Notes, PowerPoint, DOS, Windows, and UNIX based workstations preferred. Requires
shift work.
