We are currently recruiting for the following position:

TECHNICAL SPECIALIST 2

LOCATION: ANNISTON, AL

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be
assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: Responsible for testing and turn-up of all new orders related to
network enhancement and services. This includes SONET OC-12, OC3, DS3, and
Lightgates. Work with LEC’s, IXC’s, CLEC’s and partner companies to insure test
and completion by due dates. Utilize Bit Error Rate Test Sets to troubleshoot
and isolate network problems that hinder service turn-up. Submit ASR’s to RBOC’s
for order processing. Handle multiple tasks concurrently, design complex
circuits and make recommendations on changes for cost efficiency. Proficient
with Metasolv, Procomm Plus, React 2001, Nortel Preside Site Manager and INM,
Cisco/Cerent 15454, Adtran TA4303 and MX2800 MUX’s, Alcatel 1631, Titan 5500 and
Tadiran DACS, Lucent CBX 500

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum High School or Equivalent. Associate´s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from
two-year college or technical school preferred. One year related experience
and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. PC and
data entry skills required. Experience in Telecommunication industry a plus.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Requires the ability to handle stress and work well with others.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and
maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routing
reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of
customers or employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using
whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio,
and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished
in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving
several concrete variables in standardized situations.
