Alvey, Look up a SSgt Roy Carrero-Ortiz out of Lajes. He was there for a bit. Says he was with the telephone shop doing premise wiring and such. Not too far of a move from Cheyenne, like what, 2 hrs...

Hi Alvey, I am TSgt Dustin Absher. Before I left for my deployment I was the NCOIC of the Wire Dawg Shop at Buckley AFB. I am currently deployed to Joint Base Balad, but I should beat you to Buckley AFB by a few days. I believe you are our 2nd of 3 scheduled 2E6X2 inbound as of yet. When I arrived at Buckley in the spring of 2007 the cable dawgs where on their way out the door due to being 86d caused by career field downsizing. MSgt White was our last 2E6X2 at Buckley AFB. Because of the 1B career field change Buckley AFB is now welcoming back the Cable Dawgs. Our first inbound should arrive in April followed by you and another in July. As of right now Cable Maintenance is handled either by Wire Dawgs, 4 civilian employees within the work center that are coded as cable maintenance techs, or it is contracted out. I would be more than happy to go into more detail with you over a phone call or email, but I am unable to pull your full name off the wiredawg.net website. I will call back to Buckley tomorrow and get your sponsor packet information to see if I can find you on the global. Then if you’d like I can explain the base layout, what equipment you still have leftover from the previous cable dawgs, and plenty of sponsor information. TSgt Dy Foon should be your sponsor, but you may have a hard time contacting him at work. He is currently attending NCOA.

Also let me know if you have not received a sponsor packet. If not I will make sure you receive one ASAP.
