Rome NY E & I Reunion 1-2 Aug 2009

Let us know what you think. Lots of places to stay weather you camp of prefer the hotel.
Brad Hovey is working on this with Paul Marschall Depending on the size of the group will decide what and where we will have it. Let us know what you think.

Sounds like alot are interest and we have made reservations at Delta Lake in Rome NY. Keep in touch. We may even post some "post" pictures. I know it was bad, I am not known for my jokes.

I wasn't part of the Rome E&I but I've made several trips to what's left of AFRL for some IT projects.
A couple of tidbits in case you guys reunite in the Rome area. The brewery in Utica had a big fire last year but they're still trying to have Friday concerts during the summer. Best deal on wings and beer in Rome is at the Back River Ale ("BRA") on Wedensdays. The wings are 10 or 15 cents each.

Good luck with the reunion!

Hey Guys, Its LeCompte from the old Antenna shop at Griffiss. May not be able to make it in August but tell those who attend---I'm still alive and kicking. (kicking John Salmon's and SABO's butt--he-he) God rest them! Wonder how Hobart is doing and old Wilhelm...?

Look who the 'Dawg' drug in.. Chris. I also got pinged by Leland.
ANYONE interested in the 09 Rome reunion and want on the email list, you can private message me with a valid email address.
The update on the reunion is that we are currently planning the venue. Hope to keep it simple. Gather up your 'ol pictures. This is a good excuse to scan them in and get them on a thumbdrive and bring them along. Stay tuned for details.
Over and Out. Brad

I was in the 485th 1982-1986, did several TDY's with John Salmon, Sabo, Guy Bunkley, and some other civilians who I can't remember there names. A reunion sound like an awesome idea. I won't be able to go, as I will have just got back from TDY in Bangor Me, and have to work my civilian job that Sat. But I would be interested to know how it went and who attended. (Just remembered Mike Grimaldi!)

Great idea I was in Inside Wire for ten years, on and off and in between assignments. Since I'm in Rome, NY and near Lake Delta my wife and I will gladly join in the festivities. And I'll pass the word on to any of the others that I may see in the area.

Don
Are you going to make the GEEIA/MDA reunion in Oklahoma this year? I would like to attend the reunion in NY but can't do both this year. Reading some of these posted messages really bring back a lot of memories. I hope the reunion in Rome is successful and hope more will follow. The reunion in Oklahoma needs more attendees to register, so if any of you old wire dogs can find time to attend we would sure be happy to see you. If you need more information contact Jim Street (streetjames@ATT.net.)
