From the guidence I have recieved from Management at Peterson, no we are not wearing 2 badges. We are doing a direct swap from one to the other. If you have the 7 or 9 level, then you still retain your skill position in the new badge.

Here at Pope it was explained to us that will were placed into a new career field so we are authorized to wear both our old Maintenance badge and our new cyber-gay-ness badge. They aren't deleting your old AFSC from your records, so as long as it states that you were a 2E6XX in your records, you are authorized to wear it. You should bring that to your leadership's attention.

Huh, Now I am not debating what other bases are doing, but I heard this directly from the functional Cheif Storm... But I get what your saying and that makes a valid point. I will have to bring this up the chain of command, but I think here at Peterson the comm squadron and Space Command can't make their mind up about anything relevant let alone dual badge wear.

When you look at your records, you have a new 3D AFSC, but it does not show your old 2E AFSC under the "2AFSC" column of your records. We are all getting SEI's (Special Eqipment Identifiers) that state what our old AFSC was (888 for Cable). So, long story short, no 2AFSC = No additional wear of the old Badge

sounds like we have a decision... I thought I heard right, but I am always skeptical of what I hear because it changes almost instantly from the moment you hear it.

You can wear the new cyber badge beginning 1 Nov 09 and becomes mandatory on 1 Jun 10. That means you can wear the 2E badge up until 31 May 10. Here's the new 3D webpage: https://www.my.af.mil/gcss-af/USAF/ep/globalTab.do?channelPageId=s6925EC13507B0FB5E044080020E329A9 (access from .mil or AF Portal only)

You won't find any "cloth badge" for the ABU/BDUs because they haven't been approved. IRA Green replied back to me in regards to the ABU/BDU version and stated the USAF hasn't approved the final design...No worries there not required to wear (yet).
