Ditto the above comment. Never have i felt so stepped on as a WIRE DAWG as i did in Shreveport from this man. Had to jump thru hoops to get his wives office setup at finance no notice. Nice of you to give me the look of disgust as i tried to shake your hand after to gave props to all your Homies in the office. In 20 yrs this man and Braxton were the only 2 people that disgusted me as Wire Dawgs.

Joe, the facts that you presented about why the telephone shop installed phones for the entire Comptrollers Squadron are not correct. There were decisions made above your head and above mine and in the end, after being allowed to fight/voice my concerns, I did what good NCOs do, I saluted sharply and support the wishes of my boss's. As far as your other comments, those who really know also know my Character.

Raymond,

I don't understand your comments about me on Wire Dawg. We have not been stationed together since 1990 and honestly I don't remember being that tight with you. My last year at Vandy (1990) was a horrible year for me and I have tried to forget the time frame of my life. In the last 20 years we have talked maybe 2 times and exchanged a couple of emails. Looking at our Bio's, the total time we have been stationed together is around 9 months...we don’t really know each other. I have been in Communications 26 of my 27 years in the Air Force. What gives?

Vern

I too had the honor of taking one for the team as SMSgt Butler watched. It was over an EPR without a feedback. I was TDY to the USAFA and felt that PFW's should be done face to face. The EPR was a good 4, but for a first term Amn. And we all know how that system is WAY too bloated. I offered to change the ratings, against my better judgement. But ol Vern wanted to see what the Maintenance Supt. would have to say. He knew what would happen and let a fellow WireDawg receive a butt chewing from a Secure Comm CMSgt. In all my 20+yrs of service, I had NEVER received such a counseling. And he just watched. That was probably one of the biggest reasons that I retired when I did, not long after. Personally, I think the Air Force wasted a few stripes!! But that is my opinion, and we are all entitled to our own opinion!!
