OSP/ISP - Afghanistan

OSP/ISP engineer
· Engineer, implement and coordinate telecommunications systems including inside and outside plant components.
· Identify and evaluate inside and outside plant systems components to determine which best serves the customer requirements.
· Responsibilities include producing detailed cost analysis, project specifications, job management, requisitions, detailed installation specifications, engage appropriate organizations, communicate project requirements and ensure required activities are completed on time and within budget.
· Demonstrate knowledge of industry standards and codes. Highly developed oral and written skills (effective interpersonal skills)

Requirements
Minimum of 8-10 years in the telecommunications industry as a designer of telecommunications systems (structured cabling systems for voice, data, copper, fiber and coaxial cables) for both inside and outside cable plants.
•Extensive work knowledge of fiber optic systems, copper systems, Category 5/6, low voltage, and coax cable, including cable types, cable standards, specifications, installation practices, termination devices.

Currently certified by BICSI as an RCDD with an Outside Plant (OSP) specialty.

•2+ years experience using project management software.

•2+ years experience using Visio and/or AutoCAD software.
