Sent to Buy Dinner

A retired couple is planning for dinner guests. The wife sends the husband to the market to purchase a kilo of snails with specific instructions: Do not stop to play Botchi with your buddies; the husband agrees and embarks on his trip to the market. He spots his buddies playing Botchi and joins in the game. Six hours and a bottle of wine later, he realizes it is 1500 hours; he is in deep doo doo...
He rushes to the market, buys a kilo of snails and rushes home. Knowing he will be met on the walk way leading to the door, he pours the snails on the walk way; when his angry wife emerges from the house, he begins yelling at the snails as he points to the door: SEE I TOLD YOU GUYS WE WOULD BE IN TROUBLE.... HURRY HURRY... : )
