1.0 Position Summary:
2.0 Essential Functions:
Responsible for the development, implementation, and execution of a government sales strategy and business development program encompassing all product offerings of Leviton for the region.
Manages the ongoing activities of a Regional Government Program to provide program organization, training, and guidance to the field sales force in pursuit of sales to government contractors and end-users.
Acts as a principal advisor to the National Director of Government Programs for Leviton on all matters regarding government sales for the region.
Provides advice and guidance to manufacturing operations regarding product requirements for government sales in the region.
Supports the Regional District Sales Managers and Rep Firms with developing government business within the region

4.0 Education, Knowledge, Skills, Training, and Experience:
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
· BICSI RCDD Designation preferred.
· Excellent communication skills are a must.
· Ability to multi-task and establish organizational priorities.
· Ability to interact effectively at all levels of Leviton Manufacturing as well as with contractors, military personnel, and distribution.
· Must have a minimum of 8 years experience working directly with the Federal government.
· Must have a minimum of 3 years experience developing large scale programs serving a diverse client base
· Must have a minimum of 3 years experience working with the Federal Acquisition Regulations.
· Must have a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a professional environment.
· Must have a minimum of 3 years with a major DOD contractor.
· Prefer to have a minimum of 2 years of direct field sales experience.
· Prefer to have a Department of Defense (DOD) ID card as military retiree, active reservist or retired civilian DOD employee.
5.0 Work Environment/Physical Demands: Describe briefly the typical work environment and physical demand
6.0 Travel:
· This position requires approximately 50% to 75% travel.
7.0 General:
· Must have a minimum of 2 years working with channel distribution for either Voice and Data or Electrical.
