CMSGT Bobby Bibbs


Jan 22, 1930 - Sept 12, 2011 MOORE Retired Air Force Chief Master Sergeant Bobby D. Bibbs, 81, died September 12, 2011 after a valiant effort against heart disease. Bobby Bibbs was a devoted husband for over sixty years to his wife, Jeannine. He was a loving father to his only child, Mary Dell Boydston of Oklahoma City. Ret. CMSgt Bibbs was a career military patriot with over 32 years of active duty, continuing to work as a civil servant for another 10 years after military retirement. He and his family moved several times during his service, including Germany, California, Washington, South Carolina, returning to his home state of Oklahoma for his last active duty at Tinker Air Force Base. Ret. Chief Bibbs served as commandant of South Comm's Team Chief EI Academy and was pleased to complete his career in military electronics installation, gladly passing along his wealth of experience and knowledge to the next generation.Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley and Opal Dell Hale Bibbs, of Hartshorne, Oklahoma; and two brothers, James Donald Bibbs and Larry Wesley Bibbs.Surviving family include his wife, Jeannine; his daughter, Mary; his sister, Iva Jean Bibbs, of Walnut Creek, California; and his brother, Johnie Bibbs, of Sonora, Kentucky.Graveside Services will be held at 2PM on Wednesday, September 21, 2011, at Moore Cemetery, 800 SW 4th Street, Moore, OK, Section F2 #103. Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home.
