Ivan the terrible continued!

RIDING THE STORM OUT(REO Speedwagon)! Or should I say, RODE THE STORM OUT! Ruth and I survived Ivan, no major damage to self, home or property. Regardless, others were hit far worse and we're trying to help them out. Overall damage was surprisingly less than I anticipated to CATV but catastrophic to electric. Been kept busy asessing damage and restoring service since 16 Sept.

I am glad that both of you made it through. All these hurricanes going around, I wish there was something that I could do for everyone all the way over here in Korea. But for now, all my prayers are with you and the victims of the mighty hurricane season.

I just returned to the gulf coast this past Sunday. There is some Major damage along old Highway 98 in the Gulf Breeze/Navarre, Fl. area. My house faired rather well. Been cutting up busted and fallen trees since Monday. There is a town in Alabama called "Brewton" that litterally looks as though it had been carpet bombed. The utility and cable companies are doing a fabulous job of restoring services...KUDOS!!!

Ahh,Ivan the Terrible still gets better! Upon further assestment the house suffered roof damage that allowed water to stain the ceiling. Hell, Ruth and I are far better of than most who lost damn near everything. Our prays go out to those unfortunate souls! Chins up!

Still repairing individual damages. In Greenville Alabama we lost nearly 75% of the CATV plant! Elmore county, we were very fortunate and didn't have near the CATV trunk or feeder loss that Greenville had. But, it's all coming back together.

No more hurricanes, please!

Pete Hanton
